Rev. Kara Lee Palma

Associate Pastor

Rev. Kara Lee has been serving at Ossington Pentecostal Church for over 15 years. She started attending OPC in November 2007 while attending Bible College. She graduated from Master’s College and Seminary in 2009 and received ordination from the Canadian Assemblies of God (CAOG) in 2012. She married Ronald Palma, who also attends OPC and is her constant support and partner in ministry. 

 

 

Pastor Kara has a deep love for God and a burden for seeing people come to Christ. She is passionate about seeing the church grow in their faith and fulfill its purpose in bringing glory to God.

Gary Ramharack

Board Member

Gary and his wife Kezia moved to Canada in 2011 from sunny Trinidad. They began to attend OPC on August 7, 2011 and immediately felt right at home. They have been blessed with two beautiful kids Daniel and Kaylee.

 

Gary began serving in various OPC ministries after becoming an active member. In September of 2014, Gary assumed the leadership role of the Youth Group Fusion.

 

He has a strong desire to continue to grow spiritually and to see the young people grow and deepen their relationship with God and each other and to continue to build the foundations they already have.

 

Gary is currently and has been serving on our board since 2015. He also oversees all the technology at Ossington Pentecostal Church.

Sam Madio

Treasurer

​

Samuel (Sam) Madio has been a member of the Ossington Pentecostal Church since 1959 and a member of the Board. Sam has served for over 25 years in a variety of roles and currently serves as Treasurer. Sam has also been leading the Sunday School adults class for many years and assisting in other activities as needs arise.

​

Sam has been in the financial services industry for about 25 years. He manages a client practice, helping families achieve their financial goals. As well as his navigation and knowledge of the investment world, he also provides guidance in the areas of tax planning, estate planning, and risk management.

Rosanne Madio

Board Secretary

​

Rosanne was born and raised attending Ossington Pentecostal Church, she can truly call it her home church. After graduating from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College, she has been serving as a volunteer in the Christian Education department and Music ministry. She currently serves as the Christian Education Coordinator and Board secretary.

​

Having parents that instilled biblical principles and the importance of Christian education, Rosanne together with a dedicated and faithful team, make it a priority at OPC to teach and share God’s Word on a weekly basis.

Sharmila Da Silva

Board Member

​

Sharmila was born in Guyana South America and immigrated to Canada as a child. She is married to Helder Da Silva and they have been blessed with three children: Felicia, Matthew and Joshua. After surrendering her life to Christ, Sharmila and her husband began attending the church. It was at Ossington church where her family grew spiritually and developed a strong foundation for their faith.  Sharmila has a desire to see lives transformed through the love of Christ and her and her family all serve in various ministries.

 

She has worked in the non-profit sector and social services sector for a number of years and has supported individuals who are struggling with addictions and homelessness. She currently works with a community agency and advocates for clients from all over the world who are new to Canada. Her role supports youth in a high school and families in an elementary school as well as a community agency.  Her love for her community has led her work and serve those living there.

David Madio

Board Member

Raised since birth at OPC, Dave has served in various capacities, including Board membership, sound, maintenance and ushering. 


He works as Inventory Coordinator with Go Transit (Metrolinx). Married to Sabrina, he is the proud father of Ava and Alexander.


Dave has a passion for serving and seeing the OPC family grow as he continues to serve the congregation.

Maritza Tosca Juarez

Board Member

​

Maritza was born and raised in Mexico. She first trusted Jesus as her Savior in April 2005, and moved to Canada shortly after. She joined Ossington Pentecostal Church 15 years ago and has since as Board member, Jr. Church teacher, graphic and Web designer, event planner and prayer facilitator. 

 

Maritza works for a financial institution as Corporate Meetings & Events Manager, and lives with her beloved dog Jordan (15yrs old).

She enjoys connecting with people, all varieties of good music, loves to travel. She has a sweet tooth and can't say no to desserts. Summer is her favorite time of year because it's time for bike riding.

 

God called her again to serve at OPC Board in 2022.

Maritza’s most beloved Scriptures are Psalm 23 & 91. It is clear to her that God has given her a heart for worship and intercession. She considers it a privilege to serve in any capacity at OPC, and she is excited for what God has in store for her church in this new season.

Helton Achaye

Elder

Helton migrated from Uganda, where he was a public servant for 20 years. He later served refugees as the Immigration and Settlement Manager at Matthew House and Adam House in Toronto through 2019. He remains a close associate of the refugee homes and a supporter of the refugee ministry. 

 

Back in Uganda, Helton and his wife Sarah were passionate members of the Watoto Church (North) in Kampala, where they had spiritual founding. Helton found a spiritual home at Ossington Pentecostal Church where, for over a decade, he served as a Board member and is presently an elder and usher. He and his household are glad to be growing their faith and love for God as part of the OPC family.

 

As a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and a member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, Helton presently serves immigrants to Canada through a private practice in Toronto.

Teresa Spagnolo

Elder

Teresa Spagnolo has been a member of Ossington Pentecostal Church since 1987. It is her honour to serve the Lord as an elder and to be a part of the prayer group in this congregation. Her call and passion is intercession and her goal is to continue to serve the Lord with a grateful heart for His goodness and faithfulness.
